Molassed chaff is the generic name given to chopped straw blended with molasses to control dust, the resultant mixture provides a low energy, high fibre feed additive and is used to 'slow' a horse or pony from gulping its food down and makes them chew more. Therby aiding digestion by slowing food transit through the digestive system.
